This marks a special milestone in my sewing journey—where a custom project became the catalyst for launching my first official bucket hat into the world.
While not part of my usual pattern repertoire, I added these fabrics to my curated collection. The hair bow is made from deadstock holiday fabric I collected a few years ago, while the hat is crafted from cotton fabric I picked up during my farewell trip to Joann.
Before the bucket hat could be perfected, it took four test runs—adjusting the fit and style with each iteration. What began months ago came to fruition when the pressure of a deadline gave me the clarity to finish.
